Oklahoma City Tornado Outbreak
May 3, 1999

On May 3, 1999 supercell thunderstorms that formed over southwestern Oklahoma produced over 70 tornadoes in Oklahoma and Kansas. These tornadoes killed 44 people, caused over 800 injuries, and damaged or destroyed 11,000 structures.
