Exploring the atmosphere

Welcome to Tianyi Fan’s Home Page

I am a PhD candidate in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My research interests focus on the marine aerosols and their impact on climate system. Basically, my work is to use a coupled climate (CAM) and aerosol microphysical model (CARMA) to represent the behavior of marine aerosols in a remote oceanic environment.

I am an research assistant affiliated with the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), working with Professor Owen Brian Toon. I am in my third-year as a graduate student of the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
