Looking for a few good authors…

Hello Friends,

I am writing you today because I am seeking your help in making this blog a useful tool for keeping up to date with research in our field, and providing a relatively informal forum for discussion, questions, and criticisms of contemporary work. As with all of you, I am a busy person, and finding the time to write well thought out blog entries has been difficult. Because of this, and the fact that there has not been an overwhelming amount of discussion via the blog comment posts, I am hoping to kick start this blog by recruiting some new authors who can commit to writing a blog entry once every month or two.

I can tell you from personal experience that writing blog posts for this blog has been a good experience, as it has forced me to read for better comprehension and motivated me to read articles that I might have otherwise never gotten around to. In addition, I believe that participation in a scientific blog such as this may be a good addition to ones education credentials, and is a good way to introduce yourself to other scientists.

If this sounds interesting to you and you are at all apprehensive about the thought of blogging, please don’t be. The process is incredibly easy — I give you a log in, and you use the online editor to write/edit your blog (or copy/paste your post into the editor). All you have to do is read an article and distill it for readers at an appropriate level, or post something about ideas you’ve had or research you’re working on.

Finally, please email me if you are interested or have questions about potentially being an author of “Head in a Cloud”.
