To alcohol! The cause of, AND solution to, all of life's problems." -Homer Simpson
Craft Beers
Microbrews are the only type of alcohol that I
crave purely for the flavor and not for the resulting buzz. Not all
beers were created equal, however. Most beers are, how to put this
delicately - like piss water. Check out
RateBeer.com for a worldwide list of beer
ratings and some of the top-rated beers. Here's some of my personal
favorites.
Bell's (Kalamazoo Brewing Company)
Simply the best beers in the world. Brewed
in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Unfortunately, the distribution is limited to 13
states, none of which include Colorado.
Bell's Oberon
- a hoppy-infused wheat beer. Zing!
Bell's
Kalamazoo Stout - a classic robust stout. Rated
74th best beer in the world.
Bell's
Expedition Stout - a super strong powerful flavorful stout. Rated
10th best beer in the world
Awesome strong brews, great prices, great food, great company, nestled in a great city (Boulder, CO). What else do you need? Some of the beers are available on nitro which gives them a creamier flavor.
Colorado Kind - The hops hits hard!
Java Porter - Creamy flavor with a hint of coffee. Yum!
Award-winning beers, plus the first craft brewer to brew in cans. Dale's Pale Ale is by far the best canned beer I've ever had. Plus, the brewery is conveniently located on the way to the Rocky Mountains.
Dale's Pale Ale - A canned beer rated higher than 95% of the beers in the world? Is it so?
One of the finest of Wisconsin's countless breweries.
Black Bavarian - A German name with German quality.
"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." -Benjamin Franklin
