Baylor Fox-Kemper Wins the AGU 2011 Early Career Ocean Sciences Award
The president of the Ocean Sciences Section of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) announced Baylor Fox-Kemper, ATOC Assistant Professor and CIRES Fellow in the Ocean Modeling and Theory group, to be one of the two recipients of the
AGU Ocean Sciences Early Career Award. The Award is given “in recognition of significant contributions to and promise in the ocean sciences.” It will be presented during the 2011 Fall AGU Meeting in San Francisco. Baylor is being recognized for his fundamental contributions to understanding the oceanic general circulation, the dynamical nature of the eddy-filled oceanic mixed layer, and their connection to climate modeling
